Overdraft protection

Bouncing a check can be awkward and expensive. Avoid all that by setting up your savings account as overdraft protection for your Alaska USA checking account. If you need to use your overdraft protection there’s a small $5 fee.

There’s no maintenance fee for an Alaska USA money market account, as long as your balance remains above $50 

We calculate dividends daily and credit them to your account every month.  

To get a higher rate, you can change your Money Market account type as your balance increases. It’s easy to do online, by phone, or at a branch. 

  • Money Market accounts require a $2,500 minimum balance.  
  • Super Money Market accounts require a $10,000 minimum balance.  
  • Jumbo Money Market accounts require a $50,000 minimum balance.

Yes, all Alaska USA Money Market accounts are federally insured up to $250,000 by the NCUA, an agency of the U.S. government. This includes accounts for individuals, businesses, organizations, associations, and public units. 

Yes, if you are enrolled in online banking, you can receive eStatements instead of paper statements in the mail. You can also sign up to receive an email reminder when your new eStatement is ready. 

To sign up for eStatements: 

  1. Log in to your account. 
  2. Click the Account Services tab. 
  3. Click Request eStatements. 
  4. Review and accept the Electronic Statements and Notices Disclosure and Agreement.
