What kind of
benefits are available to me as an Alaska USA Visa Platinum cardholder?
You will earn ScoreCard™
reward points for purchases and can benefit from Travel Advantage programs
helpful when you're on the road. These programs are detailed in “ScoreCard
Rewards” and “Travel Advantage” information sheets.
In addition, there are a number of other benefits available
through Visa.
Visa Roadside Assistance. 24-hour a day, pay-per-use
Roadside Assistance Program expressly for Visa cardholders. For $59.95 per
service call, the program provides towing, tire changing, jump starting,
lockout service, fuel delivery, and winching.
Travel Accident Insurance. Use your Alaska USA Visa
Platinum Card to purchase your travel tickets and you and your dependents
automatically have $500,000 in coverage for accidental death or dismemberment
while traveling.
Warranty Manager Service. Purchases you make with the
Alaska USA Visa Platinum Card are eligible for warranty registration and
extended warranty protection. Send in your receipts and warranty information
and it will be on file with Visa. Then you can make one simple toll-free call to
arrange for repairs. Extended Service Agreements also available for purchase.
Travel and Emergency Assistance. 24-hour a day assistance
and referral service that includes emergency message service, medical referral
assistance, legal referral assistance, emergency transportation assistance,
emergency ticket replacement, lost luggage locator service, emergency
translation service, prescription assistance and valuable document delivery
arrangements, and pre-trip assistance.
Auto Rental Insurance. Additional (secondary) insurance
that covers damage to your rental car. (Rental car fee must be charged to your
Alaska USA Visa Platinum Card; must reject any waiver of liability for damage
available from the rental company).
Lost or Stolen Card Reporting. One call to the Visa Assistance
Center will block your account to prevent fraudulent charges, and to arrange
for a replacement card to be delivered to you. Customer service agents are
available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling 1-800-Visa-911.
Overseas travelers can dial collect 1-410-581-9994.
Emergency Card Replacement. In the U.S. a card can be
replaced and delivered in as little as 24 hours. Outside of the U.S., it is
often replaced as quickly as one business day. Call the Visa Assistance Center
at 1-800-Visa-911.
Emergency Cash Disbursement. With this service, you can
receive up to $5,000 in emergency cash (up to your approved credit limit),
usually within 24 hours. Once your emergency cash request has been approved and
processed, you can pick up the cash at a convenient bank or credit union branch
location or at an Emergency Service Location. Call the Visa Assistance Center
at 1-800-Visa-911.
How do ScoreCard, Travel Advantage and Visa programs relate
to each other?
Your Visa Platinum card is rich with benefits from three
separate programs. This gives you the maximum value for your individual
preferences. For example, it provides travelers with a variety of benefits but
also offers merchandise rewards for those who would rather stick close to home.
Please note that as an added benefit, there is overlap in
coverage for rental cars (you are covered by both Travel Advantage and the Visa
Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver Program when you rent a car with your
Alaska USA Visa Platinum Card).
