Because most check styles have a carbonless copy beneath each check, reconciling your account is easy. When you write a check, you are simultaneously making a copy of it. The copy remains in the checkbook, in numeric order, providing a record of the date, amount and name of the payee.

All paid checks are permanently retained on microfilm by the credit union. In most cases, your check copy and its corresponding statement provide an acceptable record of payment. However, a copy of an original paid check can be requested at any Alaska USA branch office, by calling the Member Service Center, or through UltraBranch.
